» Lynn1969 - Financial Aid for Adults

Great article, Grace! Its important to note that education loans typically average about 60 % (or more, depending upon where you are) of the total financial aid available to students.

Also, adults pursuing training through career/vocational schools may not be eligible for typical financial aid. A lot of these schools work strictly with either alternative loans or private pay. If/when financial aid is available, a great deal of the funding will come through loans or targeted programs (veterans benefits, disability benefits).

The key thing adult students need to keep in mind is that the school is generally THE source for information regarding the availability of financial aid or payment options.
