Texas has "Academic Fresh Start." Students who have taken courses and have credits/grades that are more than 10 years old may wipe the slate clean and start completely over for admissions purposes. But, this is an all or nothing concept. Either you choose to lose ALL of the credits/grades you've earned previously or you keep them all. Of course, the law only applies at public institutions of higher education.
