» woorama - study space out

there's no such thing as a space when you've got small children. or even big ones. in fact, i don't even think there's such thing as mental space.

i've had to go off alone for a while for work, and it's the first time i've been alone in years. god, it's fantastic. i get ten times as much work done in half the time.

so the secret to a successful workspace is to make it a kiddie free zone. then it won't matter if you're on a barbed wire cushion - you'll study better.

» Feature Writer Robin Fowler - study space out

In response to study space out posted by woorama:

I agree with that! I went through grad school with a toddler and pregnant/with an infant. Finding a place to study and complete assignments without interruption was next to impossible! I ended up getting up in the middle of the night to do work.

Now, I'm a work-at-home freelance writer, AND both my kids are in school, and I have the house to myself for the first time EVER for a few hours each day. It's unbelievable how quickly I can get stuff done!
