Great advice and information about accreditation. Your blog on fake diplomas really caught my eye - and your article answered many questions. I never realized just how colleges and universities get accreditation, so your articles were very enlightening!

Great article Grace! The whole issue of accreditation is a real mess--especially in areas where states get into the business of accrediting/approving certificate or degree (mostly associates or applied science) programs at proprietary/career colleges. Its even more cumbersome in instances where a program within a school has a certification (say a national certification in hotel/motel management or culinary arts), but the actual school itself isn't accredited. It makes your head spin!
